Tutoring - Greer meister group & Retzloff Consulting LLC

I began tutoring Chemistry at the University of California, Santa Barbara with Campus Learning Assistance Services in 2007. It all started as a way to support myself financially while working with Santa Barbara Dance Theater. After moving to New York City, I worked for a variety of tutoring services until partnering with The Greer Meister Group in 2011. I was the first tutor to join the group and worked closely with Ms. Meister to grow the practice by offering the highest quality educational support to students throughout NYC.

Tutoring has become much more than a way to support myself and I take pride in the long term relationships I develop with each of my students and their families. Understanding the complexity of multifaceted interests, I work closely with each student to make sure they find their own ability to achieve both their educational and personal goals.  Current subjects include: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Elementary Math, Algebra, Algebra II, Geometry and Pre-Calculus.

Arts in Education work - Shen Wei Dance Arts

In 2016 I assumed the role as the Education Director for Shen Wei Dance Arts. I lead the Company's Arts in Education Outreach Program serving underprivileged communities throughout NYC. In my time as both a teaching artist (2013-2015) and as the director, I have developed new lessons to expand the award winning program created by Kate Jewett. It's been a fun challenge to incorporate my one-on-one experience with private school clients to create a specialized educational experience for larger groups. I work directly with the teachers and other SWDA teaching artists to incorporate core curriculum with the dance concepts of Shen Wei. I also plan and develop all of the Company's winter and summer dance intensives along with the new community class program on Tuesday and Thursday mornings in the SWDA Studio.
